コレクション: HOKURUSHI DOU ほくるし堂

HOKURUSHI-DOU is a maki-e artisan in Fukushima, Japan. She combines Tohoku and Hokuo culture with traditional lacquer techniques to create unique designs on "Aizu lacquerware," which has been passed down for over 400 years. With a contemporary twist, her designs aim to evoke warmth and joy in users. During her first visit to Finland, she saw similarities to her hometown and was inspired by the use of Scandinavian textiles in furniture and tableware, passed down and cherished by generations. This inspired her to incorporate similar elements into her products, adding a touch of Nordic culture to traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
